So tell us a little bit about yourself, Eliza. Where are you from? Who do you play in CRUDE?
I'm from Monroe, NY and I play Brittany.
How did you get involved in this production?
I got called in to audition. It was very exciting because I've wanted to work with Kel, our director, for a while.
Well we are thrilled to have you. What are you looking forward to/enjoying most about this rehearsal process?
I've been enjoying everything about this process! It feels like we're developing Jordan's play all together, making it a very exciting and creative rehearsal room. I love working on new plays. Everyone is there, working together, figuring out how best to tell this story.
What character do you have the most in common with?
I can relate to every character in some way, but I feel like I share a common ethical code with Brittany.
The play takes place in Houston- have you ever been to the Lone Star state?
I've never been to Texas, but I've watched Friday Night Lights so many times, I feel like I have a connection there. I will, however, be visiting Austin this summer!
Luckily NY has some great Texas treats- do you have a favorite place to get TexMex or BBQ in NYC?
I haven't been to that many places, but Dinosaur-B-Que in Brooklyn is great! Gotta get a combo platter to try as much as possible.
Do you have a favorite NYC tourist trap?
If it's a beautiful day, the High Line or a park- Central Park, The Botanical Gardens, The Cloisters etc. If it's cold and/or raining, a museum- The Met, The Frick, MOMA etc.
Worst pick up line you've ever used or has been used on you?
A guy once said to me, "Your body makes me wish I knew how to paint." So cheesy...but it worked.
Fave midnight snack?
Artichoke Pizza. There's one right around the corner from my apartment.
You can never go wrong with pizza. Well it sounds like a great place to swing by post show on your way home!
